Belize is a magical, developing nation. There’s no other place like it and as growing economies go, funding for the arts is very scarce. Belize is one of the spots on Earth most vulnerable to the effects of a changing climate, increased pollution, and unhinged capitalism. Experiencing art and the surrounding breathtaking environment encourages creative development of a small young nation.

ArtZmosphere has hosted a number of amazing international artists over the years. With the exception of one sponsorship from the U.S. Embassy, many of these artists funded their own visits and collaborations with local artists. This must change because the value to our community and the world of creatives is infinitesimal yet precious. Visiting artists have collaborated with local artists and offered workshops while having the time and space for rehearsals, studio use and culminating performances and presentations, all while experiencing the breathtaking wonders of Belize and its people. These cultural exchanges and creative collaborations are necessary toward making the world better – less violent and destructive and toxic.

While Psynchedelic Shak is in the process of becoming, ArtZmosphere is currently getting a facelift. Both spaces will build on already established legacy of music, theatre, dance and joy…making ArtZ happen. The moments are now …to make new connections, to nurture the current workings for the sake of progressive, all inclusive, alternative thought and action..to makeArtZhappen!
